Law of Attraction

What is the Law of Attraction?  With a lot of attention surrounding “The Secret”, it’s no wonder readers want to know more about the “Law of Attraction”. According to Wikipedia. . . The Law of Attraction is a metaphysical New Thought belief that “like attracts like”, that positive and negative thinking bring about positive and negative physical results, respectively. [1] [2] [3] [4] According to the Law of Attraction, the phrase “I need more money” allows the subject to continue to “need more money”. If the subject wants to change this they would focus their thoughts on the goal (having more money) rather than the problem (needing more money). This might take the form of phrases such as “I have as much money as I need” or “I have a job that pays very well”.

Whether you believe in it or not this law is always working whether you want it to.  Thoughts penetrate time and space, acting as “black hole” with their own gravitational pull.  The easiest way I’ve found to describe this phenomenon is that ” you attract whatever you think.  Proverbs 23“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he”  The Law of Attraction does not differentiate between “want” and “don’t want”  It brings forth what ever you believe it to be.  There is a lot to discuss on this subject.  But for now I would like to bring your attention to a tool that you need that can get you closer to your goals.  It’s call a vision board or dream board.   A vision board is a collage of images, pictures and affirmations of your dreams and desires.   It can also be called a dream board, treasure map or vision map.   Vision boards are a great way to help you feel positive, and are very helpful if you are what to use the law of attraction along with it.

Decide the main theme of your board. It may be based on something specific you wish to accomplish or obtain, or it may be a general idea of everything that makes you happy

  1. Find pictures that correspond with your theme, either from old magazines, photographs, or from the Internet
  2. Print and cut out your pictures and place them on the board.
  3. Type or write some positive affirmations that correspond with your theme
  4. Glue all of your pictures and affirmations to your poster board and pin them to your cork board.
  5. Hang your vision board where you will see every day
  6. View your board at least twice a day,  when you wake up and when you go to bed and focus on the objects, sayings and them when you see them.
